Southeast Youth Ministry

Mission/Vision

At SEYM we strive to make sure that every student would find a place to belong, connect to their

peers, discover the truth about God's grace and love, and live out Jesus' call to love God and Love others.

Small Group Ministry

On Wednesday nights our group splits out into smaller groups based on age and gender. We want to provide an opportunity for our teens to connect on a deeper level that you can't get with our larger groups. These groups are a secure place where you can talk about what is really going on in your lives.  Each group is led by an adult who loves our teens and cares about their lives.

At SEYM we strive to make sure that every student would find a place to belong, connect to their

peers, discover the truth about God's grace and love, and live out Jesus' call to love God and Love others.

Sunday NightOn Sunday nights our group comes together from 5-7pm and share a meal together provided by parents from our group. We do a wide range of activities from sports, to games, to outreach nights. We try to spend our evenings in worship and discussing topics that matter to our group.

Sunday Morning

Every Sunday morning our group meets to spend time in God's Word and look at how it applies to our lives. We try to teach through a mixture of activities, discussion and lecture while making sure what we're covering is engaging and relevant. The high school meets in the Lounge, room 108 off the gym and the junior high meets next door in room 107.

Encounter

On the first Wednesday night of the month, our group meets together for a time of worship and outreach.  This night is designated to give our teens an opportunity to bring their friends to our group and show them a glimpse of what our ministry is about. We try to make this night fun, engaging and meaningful.

Activities/Retreats

Throughout the year, our group takes part in many activities; from service projects, to mission trips, to retreats, to sport outings.  We provide a place that is safe, spiritually filling and exciting.  Our mission trip for the High School is a camp called Opportunity Camp for under-privileged children from Mineral Wells, TX. Every year in the late fall we have our Fall/Winter Retreat for just our group.
